We have shared the knowledge about how to choose a domain.
Now we start to set up the domain on shopify.
Shopify provide the tools to buy the domain from shopify,if you have interest,but we usually use the third party to buy the domain.When we login in our shopify store,click the setting,and we can find the domain on left sidebar.It provide buy a domain and connect existing domain.
When we fulfill the domain,please notice not include the www,there’s one follow setting instructions. Click it,shopify provide the complete tutorial for different domain provider connect to shopify.
Now we use the namesilo for example to show how to connect. This type belongs to third-party domain provider connect to shopify.
Login in our domain provider,we use namesilo as example.Find the active domain on dashboard,and click the blue button manage DNS for this domain. And add two record on our domain provider.
For IPV4,we usually only needs to add one A record and one CNAME record.Please kindly notice A record,the host name we can use @ and IPV4 address fulfill the shopify provided IP,and Cname host name WWW ,IPV4 address use the shopify instructed shops.myshopify.com
After submitted the DNS record,we need to verify the connection on shopify.
Usually,it needs to wait for a little time.
After verified,we can visit our website by”ourdomain.com” after we disable the shopify password.
